Job summary

Mate Precision Technologies in Minnesota is seeking a Machinist Intern to learn manual and CNC machining while performing general maintenance and inspecting parts with precision measuring tools.

This role requires current enrollment in a CNC technology program, a high school diploma, good math and communication skills, and a motivated attitude. Part-time during school, with full-time in summer; tuition reimbursement and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must enroll or be enrolled in CNC Technology program as a full time student, required.
• Good attitude and self-motivated.
• Good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
• A willingness to learn new machining skills.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.

About this position

Description:

The Machinist Intern at Mate Precision Technologies will perform general maintenance on various machines and learn to operate manual and CNC machines within their department. They will also learn to inspect the products they are running using various measuring devices. Current enrollment in a CNC Technology program at a technical college is required.

Pay, Work Schedule, & Benefits

• Starting Pay: $25/hour
• Work Hours/Schedule: Flexible part-time hours (20-29 hours/week) depending on class schedule / Full-time during summer available
