Job description

Machinist III - 2nd Shift (Finance)


As a Machinist Level 3 at Honeywell, you will operate and maintain machines to produce high-quality precision parts. You will work with skilled technicians and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements. Your expertise will ensure the efficiency and accuracy of manufacturing operations. You will report to the Machining Supervisor at our Columbus, OH location. Your role involves operating machines, performing quality checks, and ensuring timely order completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Operate and maintain various machines to produce precision parts
  2. Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
  3. Follow production schedules and prioritize work to meet demands
  4. Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes
  5. Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to troubleshoot material issues
  • Experience with measurement tools such as ID Micrometers, internal calipers, go-no go gauges
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with CNC and Mill Lathe
  • Ability to operate manual machines safely and efficiently
DESIRABLE SKILLS
  • Technical certification or relevant machining training
  • Knowledge of machining processes and materials
  • Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting ability
