Qualifications

  • High School Degree or GED is required.
  • 5 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
  • Ability to read an engineering print.
  • Ability to Set-Up and Program CNC Machine Tools.
  • Ability to perform advanced mathematical computations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Process Control related to the machine assigned by the Machine Shop Supervisor.
  • Responsible for in-process inspection, handling, and inventory control of equipment flowing through the assigned machine.
  • Responsible for receiving material, engineering print, set-up, programming, and production of the machine.
  • Responsible for hitting target efficiencies established by the Machine Shop Supervisor and Manufacturing Manager.
  • Assist and train other employees when asked by Supervisor.
  • Promote a team environment within the department and cooperate with all other departments.

RoleAs Machinist II, one is responsible for the following functions listed below. The job duties herein describe essential functions of the position. The individual should be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested reasonable accommodations.Essential FunctionsResponsible for Process Control related to the Machine assigned to by the Machine Shop SupervisorResponsible for the in process inspection, handling, and inventory control of equipment flowing through the assigned machineResponsible for receiving material, engineering print, set-up, programming, and production of machine.Responsible for hitting target efficiencies established by the Machine Shop Supervisor and Manufacturing Manager.Responsible for assisting and training other employees when asked by Supervisor.Promote a team environment within the department. Cooperate and assists all departments in resolving issues as related to jobs.Follow all policies and procedures required by Machine Shop employees at all times.Other duties as assigned by the Machine Shop Manager.Qualifications & RequirementsHigh School Degree or GED5 years related experience and /or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience or approved by Manager.Skills, Abilities & Work StyleAbility to read an engineering print.Ability to Set-Up and Program CNC Machine ToolsAbility to perform advanced mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Ability to use proper measuring tools to perform quality inspections.Work Environment & Physical DemandsAbility to move or transfer products with an overhead crane.
