Job summary

Ascentec Engineering in Tualatin, Oregon is hiring experienced machinists to join a fast-paced, high-precision CNC shop. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to produce precision parts on various CNC platforms.

We offer full-time shifts (Day, Swing, Weekend options) on-site with a competitive differential; visa sponsorship is not available. Key duties include loading/unloading, reading prints, setting up and operating Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, and Okuma controls,

Qualifications

• Experience as machinist in CNC turning/milling environment.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints.
• Strong math skills and understanding of geometric tolerance.
• Experience with 3- and 4-axis CNC machining; 5-axis a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts up to 40 pounds.
• Set up and operate CNC machines; load programs; set/adjust offsets.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other tools.
• Change fixtures and manage tool changes and tool libraries.
• Maintain machining tolerances of +/- .0005.

Ascentec Engineering is hiring experienced Machinists at our Tualatin, Oregon headquarters. Qualified candidates must possess the necessary skills to successfully function in a quick-turn, high-speed machine shop.This position presents a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude/skills and an attention to detail with many avenues for career growth. Set up and operate a variety of CNC machine tools and controls to produce precision parts.

There are four shifts available:

Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.;

Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.;

Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday, 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.;

Weekend Night Shift: Friday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

All shifts are full-time, and the off shifts are eligible for an industry-leading shift differential.

This position is on site (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities: Include, but not limited to:

• Load and unload parts for machining up to 40 pounds.
• Read and interpret manufacturing prints.
• Possess efficient math skills and basic understanding of geometric tolerance.
• Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, pins, indicators and bore gauges.
• CNC setup and operation; tech tools, load programs and set/adjust work/tool offsets accordingly. Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, and Okuma controls.
• Inspect machined parts following 1st Part and in process inspection protocol.
• Must have CNC 3 & 4 axis machining experience. 5 axis is a plus.
• Able to change fixtures, replace tool changes and manage tool libraries.
• Machining and holding tolerances of +/- .0005
