Job summary

Ascentec Engineering, LLC in Tualatin, Oregon is seeking experienced Machinists to operate a fast-paced, high-precision CNC shop. Candidates must read drawings, set up machines, and maintain tight tolerances while working on multiple shifts. This on-site role requires handling parts up to 40 pounds and performing in-process inspections with various measuring tools.

We offer four shifts with a competitive shift differential. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Must have CNC 3 & 4 axis machining experience.
• Reading and interpreting manufacturing prints.
• Efficient math skills and understanding of geometric tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts for machining up to 40 pounds.
• Read and interpret manufacturing prints.
• Possess efficient math skills and basic understanding of geometric tolerance.
• Check parts using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, pins, indicators and bore gauges.
• CNC setup and operation; load programs and set/adjust work/tool offsets; Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, and Okuma controls.
• Inspect machined parts following 1st Part and in-process inspection protocol.
• Change fixtures, replace tool changes and manage tool libraries.
• Machining and holding tolerances of +/- .0005.

Description

Ascentec Engineering is hiring experienced Machinists at our Tualatin, Oregon headquarters. Qualified candidates must possess the necessary skills to successfully function in a quick-turn, high-speed machine shop.This position presents a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude/skills and an attention to detail with many avenues for career growth. Set up and operate a variety of CNC machine tools and controls to produce precision parts.

There are four shifts available:

Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.;

Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.;

Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday, 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.;

Weekend Night Shift: Friday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

All shifts are full-time, and the off shifts are eligible for an industry-leading shift differential.

This position is on site (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements
