Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Machinist II to join our Production Team. This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA.

Responsibilities

• Operate Conventional Milling & Lathe machines including set-up, tool selection, and product fixturing.
• Perform machine set ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting and alignment of machined parts.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to produce material within the Nikkiso quality standard.
• Identify and address any deviations or non-conformities in the machined components.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to inspect and verify the accuracy of machined parts.
• Collaborates with Supervisors & Production Manager to fulfill projects within a weekly schedule.
• Maintain a safe & organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
• Performs other related responsibilities, as requested.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in machining principles, tool selection and cutting parameters.
• Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• 5+ years related Machining experience. Able to operate with limited guidance in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance Standards
• Ability to create new machine set-ups.
• Effectively Apply Lean Initiatives.
• Demonstrates effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Work Environmental And Physical Demands

• In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be necessary.
• Overtime may be necessary as the workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
• Job will generally be performed in a Manufacturing environment.
  
  

Environmental Safety Requirements

• New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety Awareness
• All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Manager
• Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis.
  
  

Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPE’s include, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks. Failure to comply with Nikkiso ACD safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.

Salary Range: $20.50 - $28.00 per hour
