Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled machinist to operate screw machines from blueprints, conducting quality checks and ensuring production targets are met. You will load stock, monitor tooling and maintain records of production and downtime. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to standard work procedures.

The position is on-site in an industrial setting with opportunities for overtime. Prior machining experience and the ability to read blueprints are highly valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Requires the use of shop math.
• Use of blueprint reading.
• Ability to interpret measuring equipment.
• Machining experience and/or education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate screw machines from blueprints and standard work procedures to perform routine machining.
• Perform quality checks using gauges and measuring tools according to the quality plan.
• Load bar stock into machines or use the bar loader to feed parts.
• Meet or exceed production requirements and communicate deviations to the Team Lead.
