Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Machinist I in Norwich, CT. The role requires cleaning, inspecting, disassembling, and performing mold changeovers to support production schedules in a tooling environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience with industrial machinery or automotive equipment.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Injection mold experience preferred.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
• Micrometers and calipers experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and prepare molds for production.
• Complete mold changeovers based on production requirements.
• Inspect molds and components for wear, damage, or other issues.
• Install changeover parts as required.
• Take measurements to determine wear and verify proper sizing of pins, bushings, and other components.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools as needed.
• Use power and hand tools to complete mechanical work.
• Maintain accurate mold records and tagging systems.
• Prepare completed molds and move them to designated staging areas.
• Follow production schedules and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
