Base pay range

$22.95/hr - $30.00/hr

NOW HIRING: We are looking for a Machinist 1 or 2 to join our Circular Products team in Sauk Rapids, MN. The Machinist 1 or 2 is responsible for setting up and operating both manual and CNC machines efficiently and safely while maintaining quality and quantity standards.

Job Title: Machinist 1 or 2

Location: Sauk Rapids, MN

Salary Range: $22.95 – 30.00 per hour

(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)

Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm

Shift Differential: 1st shift - N/A

As a Machinist 1 or 2, you will:

  • Reads and interprets prints and routings
  • Obtain materials from the staging area as needed
  • Use appropriate set up techniques for a variety of parts and weldments in a job shop environment
  • Sets up tooling and sets machine zeros using probes, indicators, tooling balls, etc
  • Perform adjustments as needed through the machining process to meet quality requirements
  • Monitors machining process for things such as tool wear, appropriate speeds and feeds, and production efficiency
  • Performs appropriate inspection processes utilizing a variety of machines and hand inspection tools, surface plates, micrometers, indicators, thread gauges, etc.
  • Unloads machine and stages material in appropriate areas
  • Complete all necessary documentation thoroughly and on time
  • Uses time tracking system to accurately track time to job/operations

Role qualifications as a Machinist 1 or 2:

  • Preferred candidates will have a 2-year technical degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in related area
  • Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Proficiency in performing operations using CNC equipment
  • Ability to maintain crane and forklift certifications
  • Accurately use tape measure and precision measuring devices
  • Ability to perform basic shop math functions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions within a set of guidelines
  • Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork
  • Ability to electronically record production information
  • Effective and appropriate oral and written communication skills
  • Accept and apply on-the-job training to advance your skill level
  • Understands and promotes the ISO 9001/2015 culture ensuring that every function and operation happens with high quality
  • Identifies organizational problems and opportunities for improvement and brings solutions and suggestions to management’s attention
  • Functions as a team member by assisting, supporting, and encouraging other employees in any way possible
  • Use of inspection equipment
