Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Third shift (9:30PM – 6:00AM) Machinist I, II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist I,II is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary.

Salary and Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $18.56/hr - $27.00/hr plus .75 shift differential and mandatory overtime as needed. Salary will be determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package. $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

What You Will Do

• Operate the machine according to standard operating instructions (SOP)
• Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
• Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparators
• Understand work orders and routings
• Follow all environmental, health, & safety (EHS) policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Perform daily 5S/housekeeping

What We Require

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Extensive experience operating machines, performing setups, tool changes, etc.
• Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading, including Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance (GD&T)
• Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
• Professional communication skills
