Position Summary:

As a Machinist I, this position is responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to perform machining operations on a variety of stainless and brass alloy parts. Expertise in operating and maintaining various machining equipment will be essential in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and possesses a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.

Position Summary:

As a Machinist I, this position is responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to perform machining operations on a variety of stainless and brass alloy parts. Expertise in operating and maintaining various machining equipment will be essential in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and possesses a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Operate a range of machining equipment, such as lathes, mills, drills, grinders, and CNC machines, following established procedures and specifications.
  • Read blue prints, charts, and measuring equipment.
  • Make tooling changes and adjustments.
  • Expedite scheduled orders.
  • Utilize standard measuring tools in order to take readings, verify quality and document data.
  • Complete repetitive operations under detailed instructions.
  • Seek assistance for resolving difficult operating problems.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and uses proper safety devices as provided.
  • Abide by and actively promotes all facility safety guidelines and quality procedures.
  • Maintain a channel of communication between management and team members.
  • Monitor personal productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained to support the business mission statement.
  • Maintain 5-S Standards in work area.
  • Actively participate in plant improvement projects and teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in machining is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a Machinist or related role is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and cutting techniques.
  • Familiarity with manual and CNC machining equipment operation.
  • Basic knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and machining methods.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Ability to stand and walk 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and various chemicals.
