We seek experienced aerospace machinists for our team. This is a 3rd shift position, from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Benefits start from Day 1!

Summary

As a Machinist I, you will operate manual and CNC equipment, perform routine maintenance, and perform additional duties as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Safely and efficiently set up and operate all common machine tools and equipment.
2. Machine parts using horizontal boring mills, vertical lathes, engine lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
3. Perform machine setups with minimal assistance.
4. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge.
5. Maintain a solid understanding of machine tools, setup, operation, and maintenance.
6. Monitor machine feed and speed during operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with manual machines.
• Trade school education or certification preferred.
• Machining certificates as required by equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands

Employees must meet the following physical requirements, with accommodations available as needed:

• Occasionally: Sit, lift, and move up to 30 pounds.
• Regularly: Lift/move up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 500 pounds with equipment.
• Frequently: Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, type, and handle objects; vision and hearing tests required.
