Job summary

Superior Industries Inc. is seeking a Machinist I to operate and set up drill presses, lathes, and mills, and to read blueprints for accurate parts production. The role emphasizes safety, precise measurement, and attention to detail in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

You will work a day shift, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and material handling, while receiving benefits and ongoing training to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in tape measure readings to 1/8”, 1/16”, and 1/32” and inch-to-decimal conversions.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints with accuracy.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Knowledge of dimensions and sizing of common structural steel materials.

Responsibilities

• Process raw materials into machined parts per production needs and job specifications.
• Set up and operate Drill Press, Lathe, and Mill.
• Perform machine adjustments and routine maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate part production.
• Edit and modify G&M code programs as needed.
• Manage and organize raw materials to minimize waste and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.

A Machinist I is responsible for completing the following duties:

• Process raw materials into machined parts according to production needs and job specifications.
• Set up and operate a variety of machines, including Drill Press, Lathe, and Mill
• Perform machine adjustments, routine maintenance, and ensure safe operation in alignment with company safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate part production.
• Edit and modify G&M code programs as needed.
• Manage and organize raw materials to minimize waste and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.

Day Shift

• 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Thursday, 6:00am - 2:30pm Friday

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading a tape measure with accuracy to 1/8”, 1/16”, and 1/32” increments, with a strong understanding of inch-to-decimal conversions.

• Experience in using precision measuring tools, including digital and vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Knowledgeable in dimensions and sizing of common structural steel materials.
