Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is hiring Machinists for 2nd & 3rd shifts. You’ll operate machines, set up tooling, and inspect parts to meet stringent GD&T specifications.

A $3,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants, with a window from July 20, 2026 to November 30, 2026. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED (preferred) or demonstrated ability to follow English instructions, plus 1 year as a skilled machinist (Lathe/Mill/Grind/EDM) or 2 years finishing/deburring experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year as a precision machinist in Lathe, Mill, Grind or EDM.
• At least 2 years finishing / deburring experience.
• Able to understand and follow English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow training period and work with limited supervision.
• Set up machines and adjust tooling to ensure part quality.
• Inspect finished parts and detect deviations from blueprints.

We are seeking skilled Finishers / Deburr Technicians & Machinists on 2nd & 3rd Shift who takes pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail.

This position is eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus. To qualify, candidates must submit their application between July 20, 2026, and November 30, 2026, and is subject to the terms of the bonus agreement.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 1 year of experience as a skilled, precision machinist in the following specialties: Lathe, Mill, Grind, EDM

OR

• At least 2 years of experience in finishing /deburring

As a Machinist You Will

• Following a training period, work under minimum supervision and help in the planning of work and solving of problems within the cell.
• Utilizing proven machine processes, perform machine setups ranging from simple to complex.
• Be able to run machines, and make adjustments / offsets to tooling to ensure quality parts are made per process
• Be responsible for the inspection of all work performed, setting up or adjusting gaging equipment, detecting unusual conditions, deviant parts; and when needed recognizing errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets

As a Finisher, You Will

• Work from operation sheets, blueprints, sketches, and bodies to plan entire sequence of work performed.
• Select, sharpen, and/or make special tooling as required.
• Select lighting aids, inspection gages, and visual magnification as required to meet quality specifications.
• Perform work on complex bodies having multi-internal hole intersections but, on occasion, also includes all work performed by Finisher II employees.
• Instruct and assist Finisher II employees on new jobs and methods.

Salary Range Transparency

Buffalo, NY $22.00–$45.00 Hourly
