TAT Piedmont (Piedmont Aviation Component Services) is seeking a qualified Machinist (HAAS and Bridgeport CNC). The ideal candidate will have experience with Haas, Bridgeport, and Okuma CNC machines, along with the ability to operate older equipment.

Schedules available:

2nd shift - Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Position responsibilities include:

• Proficiency with HAAS and Bridgeport CNC machining
• Familiarity with OD/ID surface grinding, manual lathe, and manual mill operations
• Capability to learn grinding chrome and nickel under supervision, including shot peening parts
• Independence in cleaning processes and equipment maintenance, following safety guidelines
• Proper handling of metals and machinery for cutting and grinding
• Precise measurement skills using micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
• Assisting in preventive maintenance of equipment as per guidelines
• Understanding FAA inspection and repair requirements, reading OEM manuals
• Willingness to learn lean/six sigma methodologies for continuous improvement

Minimum requirements:

• Experience with CNC and manual equipment preferred
• High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years of machining experience or equivalent
• Willingness to learn operation of crankshaft grinders and Norton Strut grinder with CNC control (FANUC preferred)
• Ability to interpret repair instructions, read blueprints, and use measuring devices with tolerances as low as .0002
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Quantum work order system (training provided)
• Manual programming skills are a plus
• Experience in aviation is a plus
• Compliance with drug-free workplace policies; overtime may be required
