Job summary

Real Time Consulting, LLC is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer for the Avionics Data Network, supporting a second shift machining group with low production volume and high parts mix. The role centers on designing, developing, and implementing software for aerospace data networks and embedded systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust software through the full lifecycle—from concept through verification and validation—while applying basic machining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with engineering equipment and basic machining.
• Ability to diagnose root causes and implement solutions.
• Strong technical judgment and decisiveness in complex situations.
• Intro level machining and CNC milling experience (CNC, Bridgeport).
• Basic GD&T knowledge.
• Strong teamwork and ability to work with others in project settings.
• Self-motivated with initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development and implementation of robust, high-quality software solutions for the Data Network.

• Support the complete software development lifecycle, from concept through implementation, verification, and validation.
• Support the creation/modification/correction of Low-Level and High-Level Software requirements and the tracing of those requirements to software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with existing avionics systems.

JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - Avionics Data Network

ABOUT THE JOB:

This is an entry level position in support of a new second shift machining group performing low production volume, high parts mix machining.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design, development and implementation of robust, high-quality software solutions for the Data Network.
• Craft and implement high-level and low-level software code ensuring our technology is both robust and user-friendly
• Support the complete software development lifecycle, from concept through implementation, verification, and validation.
• Support the creation/modification/correction of Low-Level and High-Level Software requirements and the tracing of those requirements to software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with existing avionics systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Have practical experience working with engineering equipment
• Be able to find effective solutions based on root causes
• Sound technical judgment and opinions
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
• Intro level experience of Machining
• Intro level experience with CNC Machining Center, Bridgeport mill
• Some knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
