The role supports the manufacturing process by translating drawings and operating manual and CNC machines, while maintaining quality standards. Candidates must be enrolled in a Machine Tool Tech program, maintain good standing at school, and demonstrate strong math and blueprint-reading abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Student must be enrolled in Machine Tool Tech program.
• Maintain good standing with school and a C average or better.
• Proficient in math and metalworking concepts.
• Able to read blueprints and routings.
• Knowledge of Machinist Math, GD&T, inspection methods.
• Maintain professional conduct and high job performance.
• Shift is flexible and may adapt to class schedules.

Responsibilities

• Translate detail part drawings and instructions into accurate parts.
• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment.
• Set up and operate manual machines (drills, mills, grinders).
• Perform secondary operations as needed.
• Assist others and move between machines if required.
• Adhere to company policies and quality regulations.
• Focus on safety and comply with all rules.

Responsibilities

• Translate required of detail part drawn and job instructions to accurate create parts.


• Set up and opre cyan machining en (while being southive by full-time mascthenit machin).


• Set up opre manual dries, inc sobs, mills, grinders, llist.


• Perform nost side operations during machine cycle time as required.


• Provide assistance to others and may be required to move to other machines if needed.


• Employee must conduct themsel in a pro and appropriate manner and is respons for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance.


• Ensure writ manuf e other procedures are being folowed.


• Ensure proper compliance with company policy and quality regulations.


• Focus on safe and follow all safe rules and requirements.


• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High Scl h Diploma or Equivalent.


• Students must be enrol in the Machine Tool Tech program.


• Student must be in good standing with the school and maintaining a C average or better.


• Strong met and thatal abilities.


• Abe to read tech data such as blueprints and routings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of G and M code.


• Proven understanding of tooling requirements to setup opre machines in the departments, inclu pre-setting of tools.

Physical Demands

• May stand for long periods of time.


• Ability to use a microscope, including manipulating small object under a microscope.


• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is comp with exp and qual and level of school. The anticipated range is $22.00-25.00/hr
