Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks an experienced Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines in the Atlanta Service Center, Machining Department, at the Chamblee, GA facility. The role starts on first shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM ET) during training and transitions to second shift (4:10 PM–1:00 AM ET) after training.

Overtime is available but not mandatory. The successful candidate will prioritize safety, follow established methods, select and grind tools, use precision measuring devices, and

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a Machining discipline or a Machining certification with 1 year shop experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with Machining cert and 1 year shop experience.
• Journeyman's card with Machining apprenticeship and 1 year shop experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (mills, drills, grinders, lathes, horizontal/vertical bore).
• Select and grind tools based on material properties and machine capability.
• Use measuring devices and shop tooling to assemble/disassemble components.
• Maintain safety standards and continuously improve machining practices.
