Rea Magnet Wire in Lafayette, IN seeks a skilled Machinist to support production and maintenance, producing repair parts and consumables, and to operate both conventional and CNC machines safely.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years in a machine shop, read blueprints, and apply ISO Y14.5 tolerancing and G/M-code proficiency while working in a fast-paced environment. This role offers competitive pay and benefits and promotes safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in a machine shop environment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Follow safe work instructions and safety standards.
• Read, write and understand G/M-code.
• Willingness to take Mechanical/Machinist Aptitude Test.
• Ability & Availability to complete additional college level courses if deemed necessary by REA Wire.

Responsabilités

• Support production and maintenance teams with machining tasks.
• Manufacture repair and spare parts for production equipment.
• Produce consumable items required for production processes.
• Operate conventional and CNC machines safely and efficiently.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
• Adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
