Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Lima, OH is seeking a student in high school or skilled trades to join our machine shop team. You will help set up and operate equipment, inspect parts, and support assembly processes.

This position provides on-the-job training, exposure to quality objectives, and the chance to grow within a global leader in welding solutions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate standard machine shop equipment.
• Assist in machine shop and assembly areas.
• Inspect parts for conformance to specs.
• Assist at build sites in Assembly area.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Read blueprints and customer specs.
• Collaborate with machinists, technicians and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay range: $16 - $24

Job Responsibilities

Position Summary: Machine, inspect, assemble and build LEA designed machinery and equipment products, gaining experience and on the job training until all criteria listed below is met.

Role qualifications:

• Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
• Be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.

Position responsibilities:

• Set‑up and operate most standard machine shop equipment (in line with FLSA guidelines).
• Provide general assistance as needed in the machine shop.
• Inspect parts to assure conformance to specification.
• Assist at build sites as needed in Assembly area.
• General shop cleaning, organization and 6S.
• Read and understand blueprints, customer specs., and internal documentation
• Work well with Machinists, Assembly Technicians & Management.
• Other duties as assigned.
