Job summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking an entry-level machinist/assembler to machine, inspect, assemble and build LEA designed machinery and equipment products, gaining on-the-job training until all criteria are met.

Essential skills include attending high school or a skills trade program; operate forklift and crane if age criteria are met; and a strong commitment to the company values. You will read blueprints, work with machinists, assembly technicians and management near Lima, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate standard machine shop equipment.
• Provide general assistance in the machine shop.
• Inspect parts for conformance to specification.
• Assist at build sites in Assembly area.
• General shop cleaning, organization and 6S.
• Read blueprints, customer specs., and internal documentation.
• Work well with Machinists, Assembly Technicians & Management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Position Summary: Machine, inspect, assemble and build LEA designed machinery and equipment products, gaining experience and on the job training until all criteria listed below is met.

Role qualifications:

• Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
• Be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.

Position responsibilities:

• Set‑up and operate most standard machine shop equipment (in line with FLSA guidelines).
• Provide general assistance as needed in the machine shop.
• Inspect parts to assure conformance to specification.
• Assist at build sites as needed in Assembly area.
• General shop cleaning, organization and 6S.
• Read and understand blueprints, customer specs., and internal documentation
• Work well with Machinists, Assembly Technicians & Management.
• Other duties as assigned.
