Job summary

Lincoln Electric, a world leader in engineered welding solutions, seeks a high school or trade school student for entry-level machine shop work in Ohio. You will set up and operate standard machine shop equipment, read blueprints, inspect parts, and assist at build sites, contributing to 6S and overall quality objectives.

The role offers hands-on training, exposure to assembly and machining processes, and collaboration with machinists and management.

Qualifications

• Must be attending high school or skills trade school.
• Operate forklift and operate crane (if age criteria is met).
• Basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate most standard machine shop equipment (in line with FLSA guidelines).
• Provide general assistance as needed in the machine shop.
• Inspect parts to assure conformance to specification.
• Assist at build sites as needed in Assembly area.
• General shop cleaning, organization and 6S.
• Read and understand blueprints, customer specs., and internal documentation
• Work well with Machinists, Assembly Technicians & Management.
• Other duties as assigned.
