Job summary

EMT International in Hobart, WI is seeking experienced CNC Machinists for a 2nd shift. You will set up and run CNC mills and lathes on a high-mix, low-volume job shop. Expect blueprints, GD&T, and precision inspection as core parts of daily work.

You’ll read programs, tool offsets, and verify parts with tight tolerances. A strong problem-solving mindset and independent work style are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Strong CNC mill and/or lathe setup experience.
• The ability to set up and run jobs independently.
• Experience making program edits at the machine.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
• Experience using inspection tools to verify your work.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a job shop or high-mix environment is a plus.

CNC Mill or Lathe Machinist - Experienced (3+ Years)

Hobart, WI | 2nd Shift | Tuesday-Thursday

Work 36 Hours. Get Paid for 40 Hours.

Looking for a machining schedule that gives you four days off every week? Join our 2nd shift machining team and work three 12-hour shifts Tuesday through Thursday. You'll work 36 hours per week but get paid for 40 hours, plus receive a $3.00/hour 2nd shift premium.

2nd Shift Schedule

• 3:30 PM - 3:30 AM
• 36 hours worked - paid for 40 hours
• $3.00/hour shift premium
• Overtime paid for hours worked beyond your regular 36-hour schedule
• Four days off every week

What You'll Be Doing

We're looking for experienced CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machinists who can set up and run their own jobs. This is a high-mix, low-volume job shop, so you won't spend every day running the same part. Most jobs involve small quantities and a variety of parts, setups, materials, and machining challenges.

You'll be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
• Selecting tooling and setting offsets
• Proving out programs and making edits at the machine
• Reading blueprints and GD&T
• Inspecting your own parts and holding tight tolerances
• Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues
• Making adjustments to improve quality and cycle times

What We're Looking For

You may be a good fit if you have:
