Machinist - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift Available (Berne, IN)

Job Description - Direct Placement

This company is hiring skilled CNC Machinists across all three shifts. This is a job shop environment – NOT high-volume production. Candidates will work on a wide range of custom parts and projects, not repetitive line work. This company focuses on the design and manufacturing of high-quality automation equipment. We’re looking for individuals with experience on mills or lathes.

Pay Range:

• $26 – $32/hr., depending on experience

Shifts Available:

• Openings available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift
• 4x10s -- Flexible shift scheduling

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to exact tolerances based on technical specifications
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges, and other measuring tools
• Perform hand operations such as filing, fitting, and scraping as needed
• Follow dispatch list to manage job assignments

Qualifications:

• Proficiency operating CNC machines (required)
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills (required)
• Familiarity with measuring tools including calipers and micrometers
• Ability to troubleshoot tooling issues and make necessary program edits
• Experience loading and editing CNC programs to align with tooling and material needs
• Understanding of tool selection for various applications
