Qualifications

Description

Manufacture and repair aircraft parts using CNC and conventional milling machines, lathes, and other standard machine shop equipment from engineering drawings. Draw and program parts using CAD/CAM software. Other duties as assigned.

Required Job Skills:

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of a certified machine trades program.
• Effectively speak, read, and write in the English language
• Three (3) years' experience setting up and operating CNC vertical mills, with basic programming skills, and performing manual machining. Ability to read blueprints and drawings, and inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to operate CAD/CAM software

Preferred Job Skills:

• Mastercam CAD/CAM software
• FARO CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
• Polyworks 3D Metrology software
• Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Principles)
