Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Machinist, Maintenance in Stonington, CT. You will set up and operate vertical and horizontal 5-axis CNC mills, interpret blueprints, and use your own basic tools.

Work with a skilled team to hit production goals while upholding quality, safety, and program requirements. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance may be required.

MACHINIST, MAINTENANCE

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED; 1+years of machining experience
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions
• Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
• Experience including setup, operating, with vertical and/or horizontal 5 axis CNC mills

Preferred:

• Strong mathematical skills
• Vocational, Technical, Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
• Machine technology educational program
• Shipbuilding/Marine Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI) program completion

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with good problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organizational goal

Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
