Job summary

RSA Engineered Products LLC is seeking a Machinist to perform engine lathe and milling operations, read drawings, and produce tooling parts for fabrications. The role requires producing parts per blueprints and operation sheets while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Candidates should have apprenticeship training with shop math and drafting and substantial hands-on experience with machine shop equipment, and be able to work in teams and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read from sketches.
• Able to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate in English.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities:

• Must be capable of doing engine lathe and milling machine operations for all phases of work performed.

Job Summary:

• Builds, restores, and services a variety of tooling used in fabricationof rubber or metal parts on assemblies
• and generally, works from part of assembly drawings or sketches
• Utilizes all machines such as engine lathes, milling machines,machinist’s hand tools, precision measuring
• instruments and shop mathematics including trigonometry.
• Produce production parts per specifications and instructions orblueprints and operations sheets.
• Perform in quality and productivity to established standards.
• Must do production runs and tooling details as required.
• And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MinimumEducation/Experience:

2 years ofapprenticeship including courses in shop mathematics and mechanicaldrawing. 5 plus years’ experience inoperating various production machine shop equipment.

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

• Must have goodmechanical aptitude and be able to read and work from sketches.
• Must be able to readand understand written and verbal instructions.
• Conform to companysafety policies and procedures.
• Work in a teamenvironment.
• Ability to writeroutine reports and correspondence.
• Ability tocommunicate in the English language.
• Ability to add,subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to applycommonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,or diagram form.

Essential Physical/ Mental Abilities Required:

Employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms,required to walk and sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools orcontrols; and talk or hear, and climb and dismount both stairs and platforms. The employee must regularly lift and/or moveup to 100 pounds. Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjustfocus.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual occasionallyworks near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes orairborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate. The employee is required to wear safetyprotective gear.

Incompliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, theexpected pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour.
