Location: Santee, CA
$25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Schedules:
- 6 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2:30 PM – 11 PM

Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC machines such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machining operations.
- Select proper tooling, fixtures, and machine settings based on material and job specifications.
- Inspect parts throughout production using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards while meeting production timelines.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed to minimize downtime.
- Record production data accurately, including work completed and materials used.
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality teams to resolve production or quality concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and safe machine operation.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and in line with lean manufacturing or 5S practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school training or machining certification preferred.
- 2+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, shop math, and use of precision measurement tools.
- Experience with manual machines, CNC mills, lathes, or similar equipment (brands like Haas, Mazak, Okuma a plus).
- Understanding of different metals, materials, speeds, feeds, and machining best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and solid troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer literacy for machine operation and production documentation.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
- Flexible to work overtime or multiple shifts based on production needs.
