Job summary

Accelera is seeking a skilled Machinist for 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) in Connecticut. The role involves running manual or CNC machinery to manufacture components from drawings and blueprints, with emphasis on setup, operation, and precise measurement.

The candidate should be proficient with lathes and Bridgeports, capable of interpreting technical drawings, and comfortable using micrometers. Mastercam familiarity is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual and CNC machining to meet drawings.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient use of micrometers and precision measurement tools.
• Familiarity with Mastercam is a plus.
• Capable of full cycle setup, operation and production.

Machinist - 1st shift 6am-2:30pm, $23-25/hr

We are looking for a skilled Machinist who is comfortable working with their hands, possesses a background in running manual or CNC machinery, and can successfully manufacture components based on technical drawings and blueprints.

Professional Requirements:

• Background in manual machining, specifically utilizing lathes and Bridgeports.
• Proficiency in drilling, cutting plates and materials, and general part machining.
• Ability to interpret and apply information from technical drawings and blueprints.
• Skilled in the use of precision measurement instruments like micrometers to ensure quality.
• Capacity to produce parts according to specifications or under the guidance of senior team members.
• Familiarity with Mastercam is considered an advantage.
• Prior exposure to CNC machining processes is a bonus.
• Comfortable performing physical assembly and fabrication tasks to support production goals.
