Job summary

S. G. Frantz Co. is seeking a skilled machinist proficient with manual lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment to produce precision parts. The role requires reading engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tools, and ensuring accuracy through quality measurements.

Experience with stick and TIG welding is desirable, and candidates should demonstrate strong math, analytical skills, and attention to detail in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in using manual lathes, milling machines and other standard machine shop equipment.
• Familiar with CNC lathes, mills and machining centers.
• Understanding of engineering drawings to include dimensioning, tolerances and critical features.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.

Job description
