Job summary

Sheffield Pharmaceuticals, LLC is seeking a Mechanic/Machinist to maintain and repair production equipment in our Connecticut facility. You will set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines, program and run CNC mills and lathes, and work from drawings and blueprints.

Ideal candidates have CNC and manual machining experience, strong attention to detail, safety focus, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with production machinery troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience working with machine tools and mechanical assembly.
• CNC and manual machining experience.
• Working knowledge of safety protocols.
• Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment
• Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines
• Program, set up, and operate CNC mill and lathe
• Work from drawings, instructions, blueprints, or measurements
• Take precise measurements for cutting and shaping
• Selects appropriate machines and settings to complete assignment
• Responsible for following all safety regulations and complying with SOPs, DEEP, OSHA, FDA, and cGMPs.
• Attend in-house training sessions
