Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Operating and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understanding specifications of the task at hand by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Testing and adjusting finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Setting up and operating manual machining tools.
• Operating lathe and mill machines to produce precision parts to exact specifications.
• Ensuring safety measures are always met and maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborating with a team of machinists and engineers to produce high-quality products.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with machines or finished products.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in using and maintaining CNC machines, manual machining tools, lathes, and mills.
• Advanced knowledge in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Strong understanding of precision measurement tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.
• High school diploma or equivalent. A degree from a technical school is preferred.
