Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly experienced CNC Machinist to set up and lead a small, Boeing-approved precision shop in Stanton, CA. You will set up lathes and mills (Okuma), mentor juniors, and drive quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills (Okuma machines).
• Edit and troubleshoot programs on Okuma controls (P200 and newer).
• Lead and support a team of machinists and operators.
• Ensure parts meet quality and surface finish requirements.
• Optimize machining processes for efficiency and consistency.
• Train and mentor less experienced staff.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, highly experienced CNC Machinist to step into a Setter/Operator/Leading Hand role. This is a hands on leadership position ideal for someone who can lead by example, support junior team members, and maintain high standards on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills (Okuma machines)


• Edit and troubleshoot programs on Okuma controls (P200 and newer)


• Lead and support a team of machinists and operators


• Ensure parts meet quality and surface finish requirements


• Optimize machining processes for efficiency and consistency


• Train and mentor less experienced staff

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Okuma lathes and mills


• Strong proficiency with Okuma P200 (and newer) controls
