Overview

GEMCO is hiring a full-time Machinist to operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate precision industrial components. We seek someone who values craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines to fabricate parts.
• Read technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Measure and inspect parts for accuracy and tolerances.
• Monitor machine operations, adjust feeds, maintain temperature, and identify issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
• 3+ years of machining experience.
• Experience with manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines.
• Ability to use precision tools for measurements.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and residence within commuting distance of Middlesex, NJ.
