Job summary

Winchester Interconnect is seeking a CNC Machinist to join a growing, diverse team manufacturing small parts for the connector industry. You will program, setup and operate CNC mills while maintaining quality and safety standards on a variety of stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium parts.

You will collaborate with supervisors and other departments, study work orders, and follow ISO/AS9100 procedures to continuously improve processes and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of machining experience.
  • Demonstrate good print reading skills and an understanding of GD&T.
  • Ability to read and write basic G & M codes, tool offsets and work offsets, spindle speeds and feed rates.
  • Must be able to use calipers and micrometers and other measuring equipment.
  • Ability to produce parts in Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Titanium.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing during shift hours.

  • Maintaining high quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and needed supplies.
  • Reduce cost and improve on time delivery for existing products and work with the quality department to support the Quality System.

  • shorten cycle time or improve the process.
  • Plan the work day by studying work orders, drawing specifications, machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  • Adhering to procedures in accordance with the ISO and AS9100 Quality Systems
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions and reporting such
