Job summary

Winchester in Manitowoc, Wisconsin is seeking a Machinist for the 2nd shift. Starting pay is $30.00 per hour with a 10% shift premium on the 2nd shift, based on experience.

You will review drawings, set up and operate lathes, mills and related equipment to produce parts meeting tight tolerances. Overtime/weekend work may be required as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; specialized vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
• One year of experience in general industrial machinist/maintenance/machine repair.
• Experience operating lathes, mills, boring mills and/or machine shop equipment.
• Ability to interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
• Math, problem solving, mechanical and reading abilities.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends as required, with primary assignment being 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 3:00pm - 1:00am).

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of department machinery to include horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, presses and grinders to manufacture machines parts requiring close tolerances.

• Operate various hand, power, and machine tools to make finish adjustments to products.
• Assist the R&D team with troubleshooting to include new tool packages.

Machinist Essential Functions:

General Machinist Position Requirements:

Location-Specific Requirements:

This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.

This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
