Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Shear/Punch Operator or Machinist to support manufacturing operations in a growing fabrication environment. You will set up and operate shear, punch, and related equipment to produce parts per engineering drawings and production specs.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year experience in metal fabrication, can read blueprints, and is committed to maintaining a safe, efficient shop.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating shear, punch, or fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and instructions.
• Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate shear, punch, and fabrication equipment per specifications and production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Perform machine setup, material loading, and routine equipment adjustments.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
• Assist with material handling and movement of fabricated components throughout the shop as needed.
