Job description

Overview

Machinist – We are looking for a Machinist to join our Houston, TX (Pearland) team. The Machinist is responsible for setting up machines for Operators. This individual will also have experience reading drawings and manufacturing parts. Senior Operators are also encouraged to apply.

Location: Houston, TX
Shift: Second (4pm-2:30am)

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and inspect detailed parts from drawings using a variety of machining tools and equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores and other machining equipment).
  • Perform mathematical and geometrical calculations as required.
  • Determine how to set up machines based on instructions and perform minor repairs of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean work area and uphold safety, quality and efficiency standards.
What You Bring
  • Ability to read and interpret process worksheets, inspect parts, set up, operate and maintain machine set-ups, and maintain acceptable quality and efficiency levels.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to set up CNC lathes and mills is preferred.
  • Wire EDM and waterjet experience are preferred.
