Job Summary

The Machinist is responsible for supporting tooling performance, maintenance, and optimization within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures tooling meets quality specifications, supports production efficiency, and adheres to safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, troubleshooting ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Inspect and measure tooling to verify conformance with specifications
• Validate specifications for new tooling and ensure readiness for production
• Reduce changeover time through process improvements and efficient setup practices
• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements to increase productivity and throughput
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Diagnose tooling issues, including evaluating damaged components and determining repair or replacement needs

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC mill programming capability
• Experience with IQMS and Microsoft Office applications
• TIG welding skills
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic cylinders
