Job summary

MAAC Machinery is seeking a Machinist to set up and operate manual mills and lathes to produce components per blueprint specifications. Opportunity to train on a Vertical Machining Center (VMC) and advance within our shop into welding, fabrication, or electrical paths.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a busy shop environment with opportunities for internal growth and overtime. We value a strong work ethic and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • One-year recent machinist experience.
  • Ability to use precision tools, gage blocks, caliper, etc.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of metal properties.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain milling and lathe machinery.
  • Review blueprints, drawings, or samples to ensure accuracy.
  • Select appropriate machine settings.
  • Maintain proper inventories of completed components.
  • Inspect all produced parts for quality assurance.
  • Identify any needed maintenance or repairs on equipment.
  • Must practice safe work habits and keep a clean and organized workstation.

Rate of Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour (paid weekly).

Overtime Rate: $30.00 to $34.50 per hour.

1st Shift Schedule:
  • Monday thru Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm.
  • Overtime always available; paid breaks.
JOB SUMMARY:

MAAC Machinery has an opening for a Machinist within our machine shop. The core function will be to set up and operate manual mills and lathes to produce machine components, per blueprint specifications. These components are a critical part of our operations and will be used in numerous machine fabrication processes. Along your journey you’ll also have the opportunity to train on and ultimately run a Vertical Machining Center (VMC), producing high-volume and high-difficulty components.
