SUMMARY: A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinist operates and programs machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders that are controlled by a computer to produce precision metal parts. The CNC Machinist will operate machine tools to fabricate and manufacture machine parts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES: Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining. Ability to read blueprints and plans. Excellent mechanical skills. Excellent time management skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship in Machining Technology or CNC Machining trade school preferred.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and bending required. Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
