Responsibilities

• Study blueprints to plan sequences for fabricating tools and assemblies.

• Operate and monitor two machines when available to boost efficiency.
• Complete traveler and first article inspection reports accurately.
• Assist engineering and quality teams as needed.
• Perform routine shop maintenance and keep tools organized.
• Uphold a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; tech school or machining certification preferred.
• At least 8 years running manual or CNC machines, lathes, or mills (Haas, Mazak, Okuma a plus).
• Know your blueprints, your math, and your measuring tools.
• Steady hands, sharp focus, and a safety-first mindset.
• Able to lift materials and stay on your feet through the shift.

Job Duties

• Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools or assemblies.
• Read and interpret OEM maintenance manuals for repair of parts.
• Research new methods to utilize current manufacturing equipment, or propose new equipment to help improve quality, shorten turnaround time, and create a cost-effective future.
• Add to shop efficiency through attentiveness, running two machines when available.
• Ensure all product documentation is complete and properly filled out, including traveler, first article/inspection reports, etc.
• Perform necessary office duties in a timely and efficient manner, including assistance to engineering, quality, and other departments within the company.
• Regularly perform routine maintenance on shop equipment (i.e. check and add oil or filter).
• Maintain all company-owned tooling and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
