Job summary

Ursa Major Technologies seeks a skilled machinist to operate CNC equipment and machine aerospace components with tight tolerances on 3 and 5 axis mills, mill-turns, and lathes. You will ensure machines run efficiently and support rework, setup, tooling, and work holding management in a fast-paced shop.

You will contribute to improving internal machining and its knowledge base while reporting to the Operations Team.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a machining environment.
• Experience operating CNC equipment (lathe or mill)
• Experience utilizing precision measuring tools
• Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment to machine critical, tight-tolerance aerospace components, including 3 and 5 axis mills, mill turns, and CNC lathes
• Keep machines running with maximized spindle uptime
• Support rework and part modification operations
• Assist with all shop operations including set ups, equipment maintenance, tooling and work holding management, etc.
• Maintain a high standard of shop cleanliness and organization

You will be part of a fast‑paced, focused, and highly cohesive machining team. You will contribute to machining critical hardware and improving the impact that internal machining has on Ursa Major’s knowledge base and engine programs. Ursa Major Technologies seeks to be the best at what we do, and a drive for rapid learning and improvement is expected of the entire team. You will report to the Operations Team.

• Operate CNC equipment to machine critical, tight-tolerance aerospace components, including 3 and 5 axis mills, mill turns, and CNC lathes

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $24.00 - $30.00 per hour, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
