Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Bangor is seeking an entry-level machinist responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines. Responsible for setting up and operating saws, milling machines, NC machining centers and coordinating measuring machines (CMMs) as required.

Required Education/Experience

• Graduate of any recognized machinist or tool maker course (e.g., tech school, industrial or Armed Forces program), OR
• Minimum of one year experience in set up and operation of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) multi-access machining
• All candidates must successfully pass a written machinist assessment.

Preferred Education/Experience

• Two-year post-secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology
• Two years manual machining (mill, turn or drill) experience
• Pay (not including Night Shift Bonus)
• $28.8990 – $30.2136 /hour starting (entry level machinist)
• $30.2136 – $31.0338 /hour after successful completion of training and introductory probation

GE Vernova Bangor Shifts (not all shifts are available for all openings)

• 4 – 10 hour days Monday-Thursday – Day Shift (5AM-3:30PM)
• 4 – 10 hour days Monday-Thursday – Night Shift (3:30PM-2AM)
• 3 – 12 hour days Friday-Sunday – Day Shift (6AM-6:30PM)
• 3 – 12 hour days Friday-Sunday – Night Shift (6PM-6:30AM)
