Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an on-site engineer in Bangor, ME, to define and control production processes, develop manufacturing methods, and support lean initiatives.

You will gain deep technical knowledge, align work with business drivers, and participate in Kaizen events and New Product Introduction. The role emphasizes problem-solving, teamwork, and hands-on manufacturing support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of CNC experience (programming preferred).
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.

Responsibilities

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support the safety, delivery, delivery, cost (SQDC) priorities.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
  • Understand key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
  • A job at this level is likely to an individual contributor with proven interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap.
  • Support New Product Introduction.
  • Support CNC processes.

What you'll do

Required Qualifications

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $76,300.00 and $114,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
