Insight Global is seeking a Machinist 3 for a top automation and robotics manufacturing client. This candidate will be responsible for independently setting up, operating, and optimizing multi-axis CNC machining centers and CNC lathes to manufacture highly precise components.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Mastercam experience, advanced blueprint reading capabilities, and a proven track record of troubleshooting complex machining issues.
Minimum 3 years working with multi-axis CNC machining centers and/or CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment
Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment independently
Basic Mastercam proficiency with ability to make program adjustments
Experience with FANUC controls
Advanced blueprint/print reading and interpretation skills
Advanced knowledge of precision measuring and QA inspection equipment
Strong troubleshooting and process optimization experience
Experience with FANUC ROBODRILL equipment
Experience machining plastic, stainless steel, brass, and aluminum
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Experience with metric-based manufacturing processes and documentation
Mentorship or leadership experience within a machining environment
Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machining centers and CNC lathes independently
Produce high-precision paint robot components to print specifications
Optimize machining processes to improve cycle times and reduce scrap
Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with CNC programmers on program improvements
Perform advanced inspections and support FAI/FPI processes
Design and implement tooling and work holding solutions
Assist with integration and validation of new CNC equipment
Maintain setup sheets, work instructions, and inspection documentation
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior machinists

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
