Job summary

Nexus Talent Solutions seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate 4- and 5-axis machines for high-precision components in aerospace applications.

You will interpret complex drawings, offset parts with Mastercam, and collaborate with engineers to optimize processes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required; technical machining certification preferred.
  • 2–3 years CNC machining experience.
  • Familiar with Mastercam software; not required to be a programmer.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC 4- and 5-axis machines.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
  • Edit and offset parts at the machines using Mastercam.
  • Monitor production for quality, precision and timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineers to optimize machining processes.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.

About the Role

As a CNC Machinist, you'll be a key player in producing high-precision components for advanced industries, including aerospace. You’ll operate and set up 4- and 5-axis CNC machines, interpret complex blueprints, and ensure each part meets strict quality standards. If you're detail-oriented, experienced with multi-axis machining, and passionate about craftsmanship and technology, this is your chance to work on innovative projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC 4 and 5 axis machines.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to create parts per specifications.
  • Edit and offset parts at the machines using MasterCam.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards, precision, and timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with engineers and programmers to optimize machining processes.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Implement best practices for safety, quality, and efficiency within the machining department.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in CNC machining.
  • Proficient in CNC programming and familiarity with MasterCam software (You don't need to be a programmer, just familiar with the software.)
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and materials.
  • Experienced on live tooling lathes and/or 4 & 5 axis mills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic.
Required Skills
  • Proficient in CNC programming.
  • Familiarity with MasterCam software.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience on live tooling lathes.

Pay range and compensation package
