Job summary

kmmmaryville is seeking a production operator on the 1st shift to safely and efficiently manufacture quality parts using automated equipment and machines. The role requires following Policies, QMS & EMS, Kawasaki Production System (KPS), and OSHA regulations while identifying parts, lifting stock, and securing them in machines.

Qualifications

• Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and OSHA.
• Identify parts, lift metal stock or work pieces manually or using hoists, and position and secure them in machines, using fasteners and hand tools.
• Operate, monitor and maintain equipment used in the production process as required.
• Align and secure jigs, fixtures, tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to meet specifications as required.
• Measure and calculate dimensions and tolerances of work pieces using mathematics, precision measuring instruments, and/or fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Record production through appropriate documentation, marking and tagging procedures as required.
• Follow related documentation to verify all processes to ensure safety and quality.
• Performs job duties in a safe and appropriate manner as well as follows all work and safety rules including any specialized safety and health training.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work area.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company procedures and safety rules during production.
• Identify parts and position them in machines, securing with appropriate fasteners.
• Operate and monitor equipment, performing routine maintenance as needed.
• Set up tooling and fixtures to meet specifications.
• Measure dimensions and tolerances with precision instruments and document results.
• Record production data and tagging as required for traceability.
• Adhere to documentation to ensure safety and quality in every step.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow health training requirements.

Starting Rate: $20.51 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Communicate any production needs or issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform minor assembly using power tools and hand tools.
• Remove and replace tooling as required.
• Measure and calculate dimensions and tolerances of work pieces using mathematics, precision measuring instruments, and/or fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Follow related documentation to verify all processes to ensure safety and quality.
• Record production through appropriate documentation, marking and tagging procedures as required.
• Performs job duties in a safe and appropriate manner as well as follows all work and safety rules including any specialized safety and health training.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work area.
