Job summary

IMI plc in University Park, IL is seeking a Machinist II to set up and operate CNC and conventional centers to machine parts for pneumatic cylinders. The role requires following approved procedures and maintaining quality standards.

The position is onsite with a pay range of $20.00-$26.00 per hour plus a $2 shift differential. Pay is based on skills and experience and aligns with market location and prevailing wage laws where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Blueprint reading skills required; basic math skills.
• 5+ years of experience as an advanced Machine Operator on Lathes and Mills or 3+ years as an advanced operator with formal machining education.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional work centers to machine standard and special parts for pneumatic cylinders.
• Install and adjust tooling at work centers.
• Load programs into CNC work centers and verify machine parameters.
• Inspect parts for dimensions and surface quality; adjust tooling as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machines.
