Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to lead daily operations of the Machine & Fabrication Shop within the Aluminum Extrusion unit. You will oversee manual and CNC equipment, enforce safety, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.

The role requires 5-7+ years in machining or supervision, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints and work instructions.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of hands-on machining, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineered drawings, blueprints, specifications, and tolerances.
• Experience supervising employees, assigning work, prioritizing schedules, and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of Arconic Lafayette’s Machine Shop including manual and CNC equipment.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and safe work practices across the shop.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to drawings and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining and fabrication challenges to maximize utilization and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Production teams.
